The Best Biscayne National Park Tour

The Best Biscayne National Park Tour

The first thing you’ll want to do when planning your trip to Biscayne National Park is to book the excursion you want to do, because that’s really the only way to see the park.

The Biscayne National Park Institute hosts a variety of guided eco-adventures to choose from for all budgets, activity levels, and tour lengths.

If you’re looking for a leisurely half day visit, then the Heritage of Biscayne Cruise Tour is for you.

If you want to experience a full day adventure, we recommend the Sail, Paddle, and Snorkel Tour (which is the one we did).

When visiting Biscayne, you’ll want to plan to start your day bright and early.

There’s no food available on the excursion or inside the park, so you’ll need to bring your own for the picnic lunch.

I highly recommend getting a “pub sub” from Publix, some bottled waters or drinks with electrolytes, and something to snack on like chips.

For our trip, we were up at 6 am to make sure we had everything packed that we needed for the day and so that we had time to stop at Publix.

Our hotel in downtown Miami was a 1 hour drive to the Biscayne National Park Visitor Center where the tour started, so we had to factor in that driving time as well.

The YouTube video below shows the highlights from our excursion and our drive down to Key West after!
