If your spouse enjoys surprises and is open to going along with something unexpected, I highly recommend booking this as a surprise and not telling them ahead of time that it’s an escape room hotel.
Our first stay was a surprise, and it made the experience even more fun.
That said, use your best judgment here.
If surprises or puzzles would stress your partner out, it’s better to set expectations in advance.
Make sure your phone is fully charged before you arrive.
Throughout the experience, if you get stuck on a puzzle or clue, you’ll scan QR codes to receive hints, similar to how a traditional escape room would work.
Since this is a private suite, there isn’t anyone watching or guiding you in real time, so your phone is essential.
You’ll also likely want it charged for photos and videos since the experience lasts several hours.
Wear something comfortable.
You’re given soft, plush robes to wear during your stay, which are great for the massage rooms and zero gravity chairs.
Wearing pajamas, sweats, or other comfortable clothing makes it easier to relax, and cozy socks are a good idea as well.
While the suite includes some snacks and drinks, we recommend bringing extra water or beverages.
They provide two small waters and two small apple juices, but I personally drink a lot of water, so having extras on hand was helpful.
Since this suite has a full kitchen, you can also bring food or plan a simple meal if you want to stay in for dinner.
Plan to use as much of your time as possible.
You have access to the suite from 5:00 p.m. until 11:00 a.m. the next day, so arriving earlier rather than later helps you get the full experience without feeling rushed.
Finally, consider doing the add-ons.
Options like the hand molding activity, body paint experience, and rose petal personalization are all extras you can choose during booking.
If this is your first visit, or if it might be your only visit, I recommend doing all of the add-ons to fully experience everything the suite has to offer.
